What’s Programming Like at Multiverse?
MARCH 25TH, 2025
So… what exactly do people DO at Multiverse, anyway?
If you’ve been to Multiverse before, you already know there are a million fun activities to choose from (ok, more like 180+ activities, but that’s still a lot). If you haven’t joined us for a con weekend before, you might be wondering how you’ll spend your time once you get here. Well, you’re in luck! We’re here to break it down for you & get you all excited about the fun you’ll have in October. Read on!
There are 3 unofficial categories of things to do at Multiverse.
Panels & Presentations: the main places to geek out about your favorite stuff! Panels consist of 4-5 interesting and knowledgeable folks discussing a specific topic for an hour, with opportunities for the audience to chime in, participate, and ask questions. Each of our 12 programming tracks has a focus that guides its panel topics: science fiction, fantasy, art, horror, writing, gaming, crafting, and much more. At every Multiverse, there are over 150 different panels to choose from over the weekend! Here are some examples of panel topics from past Multiverses:
“New Doctor Who” (discussing the newest incarnations of The Doctor)
“Hobbits & Hashtags” (all about Urban Fantasy)
“Horror as a Social Platform”
“I Like the Colors and I Wanna Lick It” (how non-artists can talk about art)
“From Story Seed to Plot” (writing craft discussion)
In our unique LEARN Track, we also feature fascinating academic presentations from experts in various fields, covering topics of interest to the fandom community in a relatable, understandable way. These might include topics like:
“The Vegas Golden Knights: The Evolution of Medieval Hockey Champions”
“Brain Hacks: Resolving Conflicts by Outsmarting Your Own Mind”
“Cards on the Table: Tarot's Pop Culture Journey”
Whatever your interests may be, you’ll find plenty of captivating discussions to listen to or join in. Even better, you’ll discover so many new ideas, friends, and perspectives along the way!
Interactive Activities: while panels and presentations usually take a conversational form, Multiverse has tons of hands-on and interactive options too. Game demos in the PLAY Track and Game Room (Trogdor the Burninator, anyone?), make-and-take crafting classes (as well as open crafting hours) in the CREATE Track, group art projects in the ART Track, social activities like meetups and group divination sessions in the MEET Track, and plenty of fun stuff for kids to do all weekend in the ADVENTURE Track!
Multiverse After Dark: when the October sun goes down, the fun really kicks in at Multiverse! Evening activities offer a plethora of great ways to entertain yourself after the dinner break. Some of the more raucous and hilarious activities kick off now, like the famous March-Madness-style “Monster Mash” villains tournament, our wildly entertaining karaoke party, musical performances, dance parties, adults-only games and panels, and entertainers like DnD-themed burlesque troupes. Trust us, it’s a riot!
So there you have it: a sampling of what you can expect in Multiverse programming when you join us for a convention weekend. There’s MUCH more than we can list here, and when you combine all of that with our vibrant Dealer Hall, gorgeous Art Show, and delicious Con Suite, you can be sure there’s no shortage of fun to be had. Join us October 17-19 at the Hilton Peachtree City and see for yourself!
