Martha Wells has been writing science fiction and fantasy since 1993. Her work includes The Murderbot Diaries, The Books of the Raksura, the Ile-Rien series, and most recently Witch King and its sequel Queen Demon, as well as other novels, short fiction, non-fiction, and media tie-ins. She is a member of the Texas Literary Hall of Fame, and her work has won Nebula, Hugo, Locus Awards, and an Alex Award and a Dragon Award. It has also appeared on the World Fantasy, Philip K. Jesse is also a nationally recognized nonfiction author of the award-winning books The Invisibles: The Untold Story of African American Slaves Inside the White House and Black Men Built The Capitol: Discovering African American History in and Around Washington, D.C. He is currently writing his next nonfiction book about the freed slaves who lived in Freedman's Village outside of Washington, D.C., and working on his first documentary, The Invisibles: Slaves of the White House. He advises nonfiction authors and journalists on their books through his work with the Masters of Fine Arts in Nonfiction at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. Jesse is the current associate director of the School of Media & Public Affairs at The George Washington University, where he teaches Advanced News Reporting and Cultural Reporting. He is the former weekend host of Washington Journal on C-SPAN and was a longtime Race & Ethnicity Reporter at the Associated Press in Washington, D.C., where he also served as a White House, Supreme Court and Congressional reporter—one of the few reporters to be credentialed to cover all three branches of government. He was the Distinguished Visiting Scholar in Residence at the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress and the Distinguished Visiting Professor of Ethics in Journalism at the University of Arkansas. He has also taught creative nonfiction at Goucher College, media ethics and the First Amendment at New York University, and cultural journalism at Georgetown University. He is a sought-after speaker on journalism and African American history, presenting at places like Harvard University and for corporations like Southwest Airlines. Jesse is also the co-owner of Haraka Run and Walk, which will become the nation's sixth African American owned running specialty retail store in the summer of 2025, located in Prince George's County, Maryland. Angela is an illustrator and author working out of her home studio in Atlanta. Sara’s interest in jewelry design started at a very young age, but her career began with a job at a bead store in Tuscaloosa, AL. Access to other artists and a wealth of materials allowed her to develop her personal style as well as the skills to realize her designs. An interest in textile techniques such as weaving, knitting, and crochet heavily influenced her design aesthetic. She was able to refine some of these textile techniques into jewelry applications.
